Prague Pic

I can't seem to get the hang of posting pictures on this blog! Anyway, this belonged in the post below.
On our way back to Skopje from Warsaw, we got bumped from our flight and "had" to spend the day in Prauge! Not a bad place to burn a few hours at airline expense. We had a good time walking around this beautiful city with friends and had a great lunch at a mexican restaurant, something Skopje sorely lacks!
Got home the next day. This pic is in front of the famous "Charles Bridge."

Why we are in Macedonia

I've had several comments from some who are concerned about our intentions here in Macedonia. Our desire is for everyone, whether here or in America or anywhere, to come to know Christ Jesus personally as their Savior and have all the love, joy, peace and more that He promises regardless of the circumstances that surround us. In John 10:10, Jesus says that He came that we would have life to the fullest. Through His strength we can face any trial that comes our way.

I think that we can all agree that everywhere in this world there are those who say they believe in God, yet when asked further, they can not tell you what they believe. They say they believe the Bible but often don't know what the Bible says. Again, this is true in every country.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands us to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
We are here because we felt God's call to come to Macedonia.

We moved here in 1997 with a seven-week-old baby, and now we have three children who are very Macedonian -- they go to a local school, love sopska, help make ajvar and dance oro!
We are here because we love Macedonia and we love Macedonians. We do not claim to be the only ones here teaching the Bible, but we are honored to live here and feel accountable to God to be obedient to that which He sent us to do. We are here to teach the Bible and to make disciples, so that when our friends are asked, they can answer with confidence what it is that they believe.
